Arsenal star Cazorla set to leave the club after snubbing deal

Leaving

Santi Cazorla looks like he’s set to leave Arsenal this summer, with a return to Villarreal on the cards, as Marcos Senna confirmed there were talks between the player and the La Liga side, with a pre-season link-up on the cards.
Cazorla has fought back from what looked like being a career ending injury, and at one point the player thought he may even have to have his foot amputated – yet he is now looking at playing professional football again – but it won’t be at Arsenal.
“I would love to confirm [a transfer],” said Marcos Senna, Cazorla’s former team-mate and an ambassador for Villarreal.
“But at the moment what I’ve said is that there are advanced negotiations between Santi Cazorla and Villarreal for the player to spend pre-season with the club.
“He will be a free agent.”

Wenger

Of course, one of Cazorla’s biggest fans at the club was Arsene Wenger, and now the manager is leaving – but it had been reported that Mikel Arteta wanted to have Cazorla on a player / coach contract as has been done many times before – yet the player himself decided that was not for him, and a return to Spain is on the cards as Arsenal prepare for a huge amount of change this summer.
The fans have asked for this for some time – but quite if they would want to see Cazorla leave is another matter, with Aaron Ramsey’s agent also confirming there haven’t been talks over extending his deal yet either.
